V8 Super Cars Pit Lane
The V8 SUPERCARS is one of the premier motorsport events in Australia. The brief was to design a 3-storey temporary Pit Lane Pavilion building to house all team garages and corporate hospitality.
This was one of the most structurally complex demountable buildings ever manufactured worldwide. The Structure has a semi-curved roof design and was supplied with an energy efficient opaque thermo roof system.
The ground level consists of 36 pit lane garages for each of the competing V8 super car teams; each garage facility was fitted with high speed roller shutter door units. The structure was supplied with a fire-rated lower ground floor (above the pit lane garages), a soundproof race control area, fire-rated flash guards, internal and external staircases and an integrated 1.50m wide rear walkway on levels 2 and 3.
The first and second floor incorporated numerous different sized hospitality suites, each holding between 40 to 100 guests, operational offices and viewing areas. This technically advanced structure features a combination of vertical and slanted glass walling sections, energy efficient thermo roofs, combined with a curved roof design, making it both functional and aesthetically attractive.

International Show Jumping Competition
Oliva Nova is one of the most exclusive Equestrian Centres in Oliva, Valencia (Spain).
The main events are the international show jumping competitions; Spring MET and Autumn MET, taking place twice a year, with competitors from all over the world.
Further inclusions were thermo roof sporting structures supporting the horse stable facilities, a shopping village with custom peak roofed structures, and a Manhattan Structure VIP leisure club.
Swimming Pool Enclosure
Easy Solution for Leichardt Council
Temporary swimming pool enclosure over an existing pool enabled the aquatic centre to continue to provide their patrons with indoor swimming facilities, including swim school while the permanent indoor pool structure was being designed and built.
Leichhardt Council engaged Australian Temporary Structures to construct a temporary swimming pool enclosure to house the popular pool.
The project was scoped & quoted in May and the construction began in June to accommodate the urgent timings required to remove the existing damaged pool cover.
The temporary pool cover was a 15m x 35m Premium A-Frame Structure. The material was transported from the ATS warehouse in Braemar NSW to Leichhardt and was completed in just 1 week.
The build utilised a small team of 6: Project Manager, Operations Manager, Work, Health & Safety Manager & 3 x Building Crew.

A University needed a new dance studio after donating their existing gym space to a sporting team for indoor practice.
The main priority was to design, fabricate, ship and install a structure that provided the equivalent quality and functionality of a permanent building, but within a tight ten-week lead time.
The client was provided with a temporary structure 20.00m wide, 32.00m long and 3.20m high. The structure had insulated walls, cassette flooring suitable for dance activity, interior hallways, an entry way and three complete dance studios.
In addition, the dance studio had HVAC and electrics fitted to retain the right temperature for the students. These works were installed while the frame was being built and immediately after the shell was completed.
The fast turnaround period was achieved, and the complex build on unlevel ground was completed, providing the University with a custom-built dance studio, fully insulated and temperature controlled, in just ten weeks.
Temporary gym built onto the car park
The popular Singleton Gym, jointly operated by the YMCA and Singleton Local Council, sought an alternative venue to provide members with convenient gym facilities throughout the period of renovation and refurbishment of the existing venue.
The ATS team utilised the gym’s existing car park to construct a 15m x 20m curved premium structure to create a temporary gym for members.
The build took one week to complete with a team of 6 people. Much of this time was spent packing in the floor due to the uneven surface of the existing car park space.
The structure was pegged and weighted to enable services under the floor and electricity for mainline power for electrical equipment.
Now the Tennis Court can be used all year round!
The customer requirement was to cover an existing tennis court facility within a playground to allow the facility to be used all year round whatever the weather.
A polygonal structure was built in strict accordance with standards of the French Federation of Tennis, and NV65 regulations (snow load and wind).
The structure was 18.00m wide and 36.00m in length with a side height of 3.00m.
It was fitted with a thermo-inflated roof with gutters on either side, a closing device with coloured steel cladding, including air vents and sealing the floor, ensuring that the structure is fully waterproofed.
Access to the structure is through a pedestrian door and a sliding gate on the side.

The use of canopies to have extended use of sports facilities throughout the winter months and evenings.
The local communities of Radovljica and Velenje in Slovenia were looking for some kind of cover for their local ice-skating rink. The rink needed protection from the elements in the winter and also provide cover in the summer months for various events such as festivals and concerts.
The client received a Canopy Structure from the L-Series product range; a series of buildings that are comparable to more permanent structures but remain fully demountable.
The 25.00m wide by 40.00m long canopy created a neat and functional fit over the ice-skating rink, allowing users easy access on and off the ice. Not only did the cover help keep the ice rink in use throughout the winter months, but the installation of a lighting system also meant skaters could enjoy themselves long into the evening.
