When councils need additional community facilities, time, flexibility and value are often just as important as the building itself. Australian Temporary Structures was proud to work with Singleton Council to provide a premium modular gymnasium that delivered a practical, high-quality solution while minimising disruption to the local community.

A Practical Solution for Community Infrastructure

The Singleton Council gym project called for a fully enclosed, weather-protected facility that could be installed quickly while providing a comfortable and functional space for public use.

Australian Temporary Structures developed a complete turnkey solution, managing the project from design and engineering through to installation and commissioning. By coordinating every stage of the project, Council benefited from a single point of contact and a streamlined delivery process.

Premium Modular Construction

The facility featured a premium modular building measuring 15 metres by 20 metres, providing approximately 300 square metres of internal space. The building incorporated a combination of solid wall panels and glazed sections to create a bright, welcoming environment while maintaining durability and security.

Additional project features included:

  • Premium modular building system

  • Cassette flooring

  • Air-conditioned internal environment

  • Covered pedestrian walkway

  • Glazed wall panels for natural light

  • Design, engineering and certification support

  • Project management from concept to completion

Singleton Gym

Designed Around Singleton Council Gym Requirements

Every council project presents its own operational challenges. For Singleton Council, the solution needed to be practical, cost-effective and capable of being delivered within a compressed timeframe.

Using modular construction allowed much of the building to be manufactured off-site while planning and site preparation progressed. This approach reduced on-site construction time, improved quality control and minimised disruption to surrounding community facilities.

More Than a Building

At Australian Temporary Structures, we understand that community infrastructure is about the people who use it.

Whether it's a temporary gymnasium, aquatic facility, sports pavilion or community building, our focus is on delivering spaces that are safe, functional and built to support local communities.

Our Design & Construct approach means clients receive more than a modular building—they receive a complete project solution including engineering, logistics, installation, certification and ongoing support.

Supporting Councils Across Australia

The Singleton Gymnasium project reflects Australian Temporary Structures' ongoing commitment to delivering flexible infrastructure solutions for local government.

Today, ATS continues to work with councils across Australia, providing modular buildings for sporting facilities, aquatic centres, community infrastructure, emergency response, education and industrial applications.

As councils look for faster, more sustainable ways to deliver public infrastructure, modular construction continues to provide a practical solution without compromising on quality, durability or long-term performance.
